Drake unleashed a merciless retort to Kendrick Lamar's diss track, leaving no punches pulled in his response.

Drake unleashed a merciless retort to Kendrick Lamar’s diss track, leaving no punches pulled in his response. With the release of “Family Matters,” The Boy wasted no time in hitting hard and laying bare his thoughts. The track, accompanied by a music video on YouTube, paints Toronto as its backdrop, setting the stage for Drake’s lyrical assault.

The video’s narrative unfolds with three distinct beat switches. Initially, a GKMC van is hauled around the city before meeting its demise in a junkyard, setting the tone for Drake’s forthcoming onslaught. As the second beat kicks in, the visuals shift to a monochromatic scene inside a luminous hearse, symbolizing the impending verbal barrage directed at his adversaries. Finally, Drake himself enters the scene at New Ho King, a Chinese restaurant in Toronto, reclaiming the spotlight previously dominated by Kendrick’s disses. Notably, Drake showcases his JOOPITER auction acquisitions, including coveted pieces from Pharrell, and cheekily references the recent legal spat over AI-vocals, flaunting Tupac’s iconic $1 million USD ring.

In the seven-minute video, shots are fired relentlessly, with Kendrick Lamar bearing the brunt of Drake’s lyrical assault. Not content with mocking Kendrick’s rap style, Drake takes aim at personal aspects, including Lamar’s relationship with fiancée Whitney and his fatherhood. Meanwhile, Drake counters accusations directed at him by proudly displaying moments with his son and strolling through his mansion. Other notable figures like The Weeknd, Rick Ross, and A$AP Rocky also face Drake’s verbal barrage, but the focus invariably returns to Kendrick, whom Drake accuses of domestic violence against his wife.
