DASTREET PLUG STAFF
Drake has yet to respond to Kendrick Lamar’s latest diss track, “Meet the Grahams,” but that hasn’t halted Lamar’s momentum as he drops yet another fiery song. The newest release, titled “Not Like Us,” boasts production credits from Mustard. Take a listen to the track below.
In “Not Like Us,” Lamar continues his onslaught, not only targeting Drake but also taking aim at some of the rapper’s associates from October’s Very Own (OVO) camp. Security guard Chubbs, PartyNextDoor, and occasional rapper Baka Not Nice find themselves in Lamar’s lyrical crosshairs. Lamar’s bars don’t pull any punches, addressing issues such as Chubbs allegedly receiving hand-me-downs, PartyNextDoor’s alleged drug use, and questioning why Baka Not Nice is even around, going as far as to call out the Certified Lover Boys as “certified pedophiles.”
The release of “Not Like Us” comes hot on the heels of Drake’s response to Lamar’s previous diss track, “Family Matters,” which dropped just an hour after “Meet the Grahams.” This back-and-forth feud between the two artists has been ongoing, with Drake initially responding to Lamar’s “Like That” released back in March, and Lamar retaliating with subsequent tracks like “Euphoria” and “6:16 in LA.”
